What is better free or paid hosting for your blog? There are a couple of free options with the main two being blogger and wordpress. Blogger and wordpress both offer a good service and are quite suitable for creating your blog.

But......



It all depends on what you intend to use your blog for. If you just want a personal blog for your own thoughts and diary records or maybe even to share with your friends then a free blog is a good option for you.

However, if you want to monetize your blog then you should use paid hosting. The reason is that if you are creating a blog with the purpose of making money then you want to have a very good blog. You will want it to look professional so that it will portray you as a bit of an expert in your field.

Blogging for money is really easy and in fact is probably one of the easiest ways to make money online but that doesn't mean that you should be any less professional than you are with any other type of business. To be successful you need to treat all your money making ventures as businesses and this means looking professional.

It is not expensive to have a paid blog the only cost involved is the purchase of a domain name and the monthly hosting fee. The domain name cost will vary depending on what your domain ends with, e.g. .com, .net, .info etc. .info names are the cheapest but even a .com name is only around $10 for a year. When creating your blog, if you use a Wordpress blog on your own hosted domain there are many themes that you can use. You can get a heap of Wordpress themes for free and they are really good quality. Adding a theme that relates to the topic of your blog helps with the whole professional approach as well as making your blog pleasing to the eye and your visitors will like that.

So in conclusion, my opinion is that if you are producing blogs to make money online then definitely go with the paid option, it is well worth it.

But hey its not that necessary as i am using Blogger too..... but my blog is not monetized now.
